Who Are We?
Established in 2001, London Orion Basketball offers elementary-aged summer camps, house league and competitive boys programs. We focus on helping young people across the London area find confidence, build playing skills, learn the fundamentals of teamwork, and have fun. In our 20 years, more than 5,000 young athletes have come through our House League, Competitive League, and Basketball Camps.
Our Staff
Orion Basketball is led by coaches and staff committed to basketball. Director and head instructor John Shoemaker is a secondary science teacher and basketball coach at John Paul II Catholic Secondary School in London. Coach Shoemaker played and coached at a Canadian University level and in NCAA Div. 1 basketball in the United States. His involvement has taken him to every level of basketball in Canada.
Our Alumni
Orion Basketball works hard to give your child the skills they need to pursue basketball at a collegiate level and beyond. We have a distinguished slate of alumni: 25 players have gone on to play college ball, while four have played professionally.
